  • Rise Against Rattlesnake Roundups (RARR)

This sections primary goal is to influence communities and state wildlife agencies to take a proactive approach regarding the management of rattlesnake roundups. Due to the limited availability of long-term population trend data, we urge state agencies to place stricter restrictions on rattlesnake roundups in order to ensure sustainable populations. We, as conservationists, understand that a realistic balance between biologists and the public needs to be met so that the communities dependent upon these events will not be left economically unstable. We also promote the ecological significance and humane treatment of all herpetofauna.
