From Heather Lower of TSA

Hopefully you have already heard all about the TSA’s plans to open a Turtle Survival Center in South Carolina in 2012. A capital campaign to support this exciting endeavor will be launched in the near future, but in the meantime there is another opportunity that has presented itself. We are proud to announce that the TSA is a finalist in the Toyota 100 Cars for Good contest.

Toyota’s 100 Cars for Good program will be awarding 100 vehicles to 100 non-profits over the course of 100 days based on votes from the public. A total of 500 non-profits were selected from more than 4,000 applications nationwide. We are hoping to win a new Toyota Tundra to help us with the renovations and day-to-day operations of the Turtle Survival Center.

As a supporter of the TSA, we are reaching out to you to help us spread the word about this contest. The TSA will be competing against just fourother non-profit organizations on May 18 and we need all of the votes we can get to help us win this truck!

Your help is needed to spread the word about this contest and to encourage people to vote for TSA. Plus, it’s a great way to let people know about your organization’s support for the TSA and turtle conservation! Sample text is included below that may be helpful. Please contact Heather Lowe (hlowe@turtlesurvival.org) if you are able to help with this time-sensitive campaign, so that we can acknowledge your organization and thank you for your support. (Also contact her if you have any questions.)
